This will be our 31st Tour and after consulting our members we have moved to a new venue,

well not quite we were here in 2016, 10 years ago, gone in a flash!!

 

CHAMPIONSHIP GOLF

Set in the scenic Hampshire countryside our 6,288-yard Par 72 golf course was designed by the BBC’s late ‘voice of Golf’ Peter Alliss and provides a great test for all abilities. From elevated tees and tree lined fairways to holes featuring lakes and creeks every hole offers a different challenge.

 

Our exquisite 4-Star resort boasts 143 superior bedrooms, 51 Apartments, modern health club and relaxing spa facilities, alongside fantastic cuisine & beverage options in our Kings Restaurant, Sports Bar, Oties Coffee Shop & late-night Atrium Cocktail Bar.

Food & Drink

Old Thorns Hotel & Resort has been delivering great golf days and breaks for over four decades to hundreds of thousands of golfers like you. From the first round when golfing legends Seve Ballesteros, Jack Nicklaus, Bill Rogers & Isao Aoki duelled across the 18 challenging holes to today, Old Thorns aims to provide fantastic golf, brilliant hospitality and great memories.

 

Golf

We will be playing all three rounds at Old Thorns. We will split the group into four teams. The Format will be the same as usual,

Four ball Better ball, Pairs Texas Scramble and Individual Match play.

The Schedule

DAY ONE - Sunday 12th July

10.30am - Arrive at Old Thorns – Meet in the hotel reception area

12pm - First tee - Format - Pairs Texas Scramble – Match play

After play check in to accommodation

7.30pm Dinner in the restaurant

DAY TWO – Monday 13th July

9.30am - First tee - Format – Four ball better-ball – Match play

Lunch consisting of Soup, sandwiches & chips will be provided after play.

7.30pm Dinner in the restaurant

 

 

 

DAY THREE – Tuesday 14th July

Breakfast at hotel, pack, pay for any extras

10am - First tee  – Format – Individual Match play

3pm – Lunch, then presentations and away.

 

The cost will be £295 per person for members in twin room and £405 for members in single room. The cost for guests will be £320 in a twin room

and £430 in a single room. A non-refundable deposit of £35 must be paid before 15th August to secure your place.

I have provisionally booked 32 places.

Buggies are £40 per round and I have booked 10 per day.
